505 Games has announced an exciting pre-order mission for Sniper Elite 3, offering players the chance to experience a famous assassination attempt like no other.

Sniper Elite 3's pre-order bonus mission is called "Hunt the Grey Wolf," and has players attempting to gun down none other than Hitler himself, Allied code name "Grey Wolf," as he and his double have embarked on a clandestine trip to Tobruk, the Libyan port, in 1942.

Some say that Hitler shot himself in a bunker in Berlin in 1945, but now you can write history for yourself, telling the story of how he fell to a skilled sniper bullet three years earlier, during his secret visit to North Africa.

OSS Agent Karl Fairburne must infiltrate the ancient streets and crumbling rooftops of the German-occupied town by means of stealth and distraction, in order to make preparations for the mission and take the crucial shot that will change the course of history forever.

The mission features an expansive open-world environment with randomized target identities, journals and locations, making sure that no two playthroughs will ever be the same and that players will be challenged to find out who the real target is, and who merely a double acting as a distraction.

The mission integrates seamlessly with Sniper Elite 3's North African setting, an exotic and unforgiving terrain marked by the hostilities of World War II.

Sniper Elite 3 is currently scheduled for release on June 27, for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC.
