Developer and publisher Hi-Rez Studios is delivering a new video for its Multiplayer Online Battle Arena title Smite, which is designed to show off the powers and the concepts that drive Chaac, God of Rain.

He is just one of the heroes that players will be able to select in the coming title.

Smite is a traditional MOBA in many ways, but it will use a third-person camera that stays close to the player’s hero, creating a feeling of immersion and delivering more detailed graphics and visual effects.

The game will be built on a free-to-play business model, but it will allow players to use real-world money in order to get access to cosmetic enhancements.

Smite will have to face tough competition from the likes of DOTA 2 from Valve, which no longer requires log-ins, and League of Legends from Riot Games.
