Midnight City announced that Slender: The Arrival will be making its way to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles some time during the first quarter of the year.

Slender: The Arrival is a sequel to the Slender: The Eight Pages, developed by Blue Isle Studios. The game is a first-person horror game where players navigate creepy environments armed with only a flashlight.

The game, as well as its predecessor, is based on the paranormal phenomenon Slender Man, invented on the Something Awful forums, an unnaturally thin and tall featureless man commonly said to stalk and traumatize people, a character that has spawned many online works of fiction.

The console version of Slender: The Arrival will benefit from an extra layer of polish and, upon completion, players will be able to access two additional all-new levels, which will put them in the shoes of Slender Man's victims, as Gematsu reports.

The PC version of Slender: The arrival has already been launched on Steam in October 2013, and is Oculus Rift compatible for a more immersive experience.
