Bethesda is getting ready to deploy the Skyrim Creation Kit onto the PC platform this week, and it seems that the special surprise hinted by one of its executives is going to be an official high resolution texture pack for the game.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has impressed millions of players from all around the world and gained a cult following on the PC platform, especially due to its support for user-generated mods.

This support will be improved as soon as Bethesda is finally close to releasing the Creation Kit, a set of tools that should make the modding process that much simpler, alongside a special surprise, as hinted at by Skyrim Producer Pete Hines.

Now, it seems that this surprise has been uncovered by members of Bethesda’s forums, who have found mentions of a high resolution texture pack while going through the source code of the upcoming Creation Kit.

The studio has yet to comment on the surprise, but you can expect an official announcement tomorrow, February 7, when the Creation Kit is finally released on the PC for Skyrim.
