The development team working on Skylanders SuperChargers is getting ready to deliver a new expansion for the Skylanders series, which is called SuperChargers and will be focused on the addition of vehicle mechanics.

During E3 2015, the team at publisher Activision offerer an interview with Lou Studdert, an associate producer, providing us with more information about the new mechanics of the coming content and the thinking that powered its creation.

15 unique vehicles will be introduced to the toy-based game, and players can choose between classic cars and more exotic fare, including submarines and mixes between various types.

The Activision title was the first to introduce the very successful new focus on the mix of figurines and video game adventures, and the SuperChargers content expands on the idea but does not innovate in any big way.

This year, it will have to deal with competition from Disney Infinity 3.0, which will benefit from the introduction of a lot of Star Wars content and from the all-new LEGO Dimensions, specifically designed to use the movie and TV shows franchises that Warner Bros is working with.

Skylanders SuperChargers will be launched on September 20 of this year on all platforms and will include two Nintendo-created figurines that will also double as Amiibos.
