Video game publisher Electronic Arts has launched a new trailer for its social city building title, SimCity Social, which is now in beta stage, and the company could not resist taking a shot at CityVille, the successful release from Zynga.

The trailer is named “More City, Less Ville” and tries to emphasize the ways in which SimCity Social is different from the Zynga title.

The new EA game serves as a stopgap measure for fans of the SimCity concept who cannot wait to see the reboot of the full-fledged game, which is set to arrive in February 2013.

The rebooted experienced from Maxis uses a new engine called Glassbox and players will be able to create their cities using a segment of easy-to-use tools while always paying attention to the feelings and desires of their citizens.

SimCity will include online interactions and will enable two players to both compete and work together.
