The developers at Maxis and publisher Electronic Arts have launched a new trailer for their upcoming SimCity, basically an extended version of the announcement that was introduced in early March, showing off some of the most interesting features of the city simulation title.

SimCity is using an all-new game engine called GlassBox and the development team has said that it has been specifically designed to allow gamers to get as close as they want to the sims in the game while also getting the big picture of city development.

The new SimCity will be very social and will see player-made cities interact with one another and work together in order to create a number of municipal projects that will benefit all of them.

SimCity is being prepared for a February 2013 launch on the PC, and it will be linked to a social and browser-based title with the same name.
