Konami has confirmed that the upcoming Silent Hill HD Collection is now scheduled to appear in March, although a concrete release date isn’t known.

The Silent Hill series has delighted millions of fans from all over the world by offering immersive horror experiences, although some of the newer games failed to capture that same feeling.

In an effort to make fans forget about the recent lackluster releases, Konami has been working hard on the Silent Hill HD Collection, which includes the second and third games, remastered in high definition and with new voice acting.

While the HD Collection was scheduled to appear right before the start of 2012, we have all seen that the New Year has started and there has not been any release from Konami.

Now, the Japanese company has finally released a statement about the matter, saying that the Silent Hill HD Collection is now scheduled to appear in March. Sadly, a concrete release date wasn’t offered, as Konami said that another announcement would be made at the end of the week.

Until then, Silent Hill fans will have to start saving up money, as two other games in the series, Silent Hill: Downpour and Silent Hill: Book of Memories, will also be released soon enough.
