French indie studio Agharta has just released a special demo of Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe on the Steam digital distribution service, which is playable using the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, in preparation for a new game that will completely support the new device.

Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe came out last month as a spiritual successor to the classic Shufflepuck Café, and now developer Agharta is using the special air hockey game to tinker with the Oculus Rift VR headset.

As such, the studio has released a free demo of the game that's playable using the Virtual Reality headset, allowing players to explore one floor of the cantina and engage in some intense rounds of air hockey.

Agharta is currently working on a brand new game that will be specifically designed for the Oculus Rift, but it's unclear when it will be formally announced, as the studio is keeping things under a shroud of secrecy.
