The development team at Loot Drop announces that they are ending their effort to fund their latest project, Shaker: An Old School RPG, via Kickstarter, presumably because the game has failed to attract enough money during the first half of its period on the site.

In an official update the developers say, “We are profoundly grateful to our fans. You were as excited about this game as we were, and from the very beginning, you encouraged us to post more details about it and even sent in fan art! We have received backing from over 7,000 of you and raised a quarter million dollars in just a few days (!). That's humbling and wonderful.”

The Loot Drop team also thanks the press that covered Shaker and their friends in the gaming industry who have given them suggestions.

They acknowledge that in the remaining 16 days on Kickstarter, Shaker might have received the money it was asking for, but they believe that the better idea is to stop the process and maybe introduce a new Kickstarter effort for an improved game.
