Harebrained Schemes probably did not know what to expect from the first Kickstarter campaign back in 2012, but since Shadowrun is now more popular than it was before the crowdfunding campaign, they will probably want to set higher standards for their next game.
The recent announcement regarding the next setting for Shadowrun doesn't really come as a surprise. Last week, developers hinted at a possible return of the Shadowrun universe and today they have confirmed where the next campaign will take place.
If you've been dying to run your decker through the streets of Hong Kong, then it's time to start saving some money as Harebrained Schemes announced that the next setting for Shadowrun would be this city.
Along with the new announcement, devs also made available a wallpaper showing some of the artwork in the new setting. Unfortunately for fans of the franchise, no additional details on gameplay, story or characters have been revealed yet, but we expect those to arrive soon after the New Year's Eve.
Speaking of which, a Kickstarter campaign for Shadowrun: Hong Kong should be initiated by Harebrained Schemes in January. The exact date hasn't been disclosed yet, but January is only a few days away. Looking forward for the next Shadowrun game.
