Joe Got Game, the new studio created by industry veteran Joe Ybarra, is asking gamers to contribute to the Kickstarter project for a new game called Shackleton Crater, which will allow players to colonize the South Pole of the Moon.

The game will use strategy mechanics and will give all those interested a one hundred year time frame to create a stable human presence on our satellite.

Shackleton Crater will be created using accurate photos of all the included Lunar landscape and powered by the Unity Engine.

Joe Ybarra states, “I’ve been equally impressed with how the Kickstarter people have made crowdfunding so accessible, and with how fans of great game projects have participated in the process in such large numbers.”

Shackleton Crater seeks to get 700,000 dollars (536,000 Euro) from players and it has 28 days to go on Kickstarter.
