MAQL Europe, the European branch of Japanese publisher Marvelous AQL, has announced that the latest installment in their Senran Kagura action series, Burst, will soon be available in Europe, for the Nintendo 3DS.

Burst is an expansion for the 2011 anime-based Japanese game Senran Kagura, adding an additional campaign, Crimson Girls.

The game features brawls based on the rivalry of different ninja academies, with each campaign following a different cast of shinobis, with the gameplay consisting of some adventuring and exposition scenes followed by intense side-scrolling combo-based fighting.

Combos can quickly become ridiculous 200+ hit affairs, and the protagonists' clothes get ripped off during the intense meleeing.

Senran Kagura Burst will be released on February 27 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, with a retail release scheduled for February 28.

An official price tag has not yet been attached to Senran Kagura Burst, but the American eShop has the game listed at $30 / €22.
