Mojang, the studio behind Minecraft, has confirmed that its next big project, Scrolls, will be officially launched next week, on June 3, in the form of an open beta.

The company has even released a special gameplay video with the title in action.

Mojang has been hard at work not only on updates for its massively popular Minecraft, but also on Scrolls, a turn-based strategy game in which players need to collect scrolls with different units and powers.

The game has been eagerly awaited for some time and select people tried it out in closed alpha.

Now, Mojang has confirmed that Scrolls will be released on June 3, when the open beta goes live around the world.

Those interested in the game will need to purchase it for £13/€15/$20.
