The development team at NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. are confirming that Scorpion, one of the most famous characters in the Mortal Kombat universe, will be delivered as downloadable content for the recently launched Injustice: Gods Among Us.

The team states, “The version of Scorpion seen in the game is designed by Jim Lee, Co-Publisher at DC Entertainment, and pays homage to NetherRealm Studios' original blockbuster franchise.”

Rumors that Scorpion will be added to the game have existed since the superhero powered fighting game was first launched.

Injustice is based on the DC Universe pantheon, with various versions of the hero battling in specially designed stages.

This incarnation of Scorpion has much more armor than usual, although he has all the special powers that players know and love.

It’s not clear when the DLC package will be launched.
