Another set of character trailers has been released by Koei, this time around deciding to go all out and show six hacking and slashing fighters from the upcoming Samurai Warriors 4.

The six new brawlers introduced to the game's already extensive roster are, from top to bottom, the scythe wielding Kato Kiyomasa, Fukushima Masanori, who just came off American Gladiators, the flamboyant Toyotomi Hieyoshi, Ishida Mitsunari, currently doing Blood Elf Kitana cosplay, Shima Sakon, who's a big fan of Final Fantasy and uses a pimped-up replica of the Buster Sword, and Nene, whose blinding speed seems to be giving Lucky Luke a run for his money.

Each new character gets a brand new trailer to illustrate their various fighting techniques, displaying an extensive arsenal of moves specifically designed to take out large armies of poorly trained enemies, who seem to have graduated from the same school of nameless henchmen that produces the infamous marksmen known to the gaming world as Storm Troopers.

Samurai Warriors 4 is currently scheduled to come out for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in Japan, on March 20. A western release has not yet been discussed by the publisher, but considering that the previous installments in the series have made it over, it's likely some good news will pop up sometime in the future.
