Tecmo Koei has released another trailer for its upcoming PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita hack-and-slash game Samurai Warriors 4, showing some of the characters players will be able to play as during the campaign.

The new trailer depicts some of the character redesigns made by developer Omega Force, showing some of the classical personas that will be available in the single-player campaign. Players will also be able to create a new custom general and live out their own legendary rise to power.

Samurai Warriors is an action series that is firmly rooted in Japanese history, its story mode offering a map of Japan and allowing players to select individual clans and play through the late Sengoku period, a time of strife that ultimately led to the unification of Japan.

Samurai Warriors 4 is currently scheduled for release on March 20, 2014.
