Saints Row 4 is a huge success, as publisher Deep Silver has confirmed that over 1 million copies had been sold in the first week of availability.

Saints Row IV was eagerly awaited by many fans from around the world, as the new title promised to take the outlandish experience from the third game and reach new heights by adding superpowers, aliens, and other wacky elements.

Needless to say, that was a recipe for success, both critically and commercially, as Deep Silver confirmed that over 1 million copies had been sold in the game's first week of availability, according to the Deep Silver Twitter.

Props go to the PC edition of the game, which tripled the sales of Saints Row 3 in just a few days.

Both Deep Silver and developer Volition are thrilled with the performance, and this certainly means that the series will have a long life ahead.
