The new trailer that publisher Electronic Arts has launched for its upcoming snowboard simulation SSX features Travis Rice, one of the biggest stars of the sport, as he talks about the real world risks that practitioners face when going downhill at speed.

The SSX series is known for its over the top take on the sport and the developers and publisher are probably looking to make sure that no fans of the series try to pull the same moves in the real world, where they face serious risks.

The new SSX game is a reboot for the series which has been in limbo since rather unsuccessful launch of Blur in 2007.

The new game will feature old school mechanics and will focus on the feeling of speed and danger that snowboarding delivers.

The new SSX will be launched on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft on the last day of February in the United States and on March 2 in Europe and the rest of the world.
