Electronic Arts will deploy a demo for its upcoming SSX game later today and, in order to give fans a quick intro into the snowboarding simulator, it has launched a special video that shows off some special tips and tricks.

Seeing as how quite a few years have passed since the last SSX title, EA is now going to launch a brand new iteration. The simple-named SSX brings a dose of realism while still allowing players to pull off outlandish tricks.

A free demo for the game will be released today, on the Xbox 360, and tomorrow, on the PlayStation 3. It will include two tutorials, four events and a quick skydiving session. Players can control either Zoe, as standard, or Mac, if they get a friend to try out the demo.

In order to give fans a refresher course on the mechanics of SSX, a special video has now been posted by EA, which highlights some of the basic aspects of the title’s gameplay.

Essentially, players need to always pull off tricks in order to gain boost until they reach Tricky mode, when they’ll be able to execute even more impressive moves.

Check out the rest of EA’s tips in the video above.
