Linda Carlson, the director of global community relations at Sony Online Entertainment, says that her team is planning to implement full bans in all the titles it is publishing for those gamers who are guilty of trolling, harassing or bullying others.

She tells GamesIndustry.biz that, “A very influential player, high up in a huge guild – we’ll still ban them… In our games, if you are an exploiter we don’t care who you are, how big your guild is, how many people you threaten to take with you when you go.”

Carlson knows that sometimes a gamer cannot be identified but says that her team is using as many sources as possible to identify all sources of toxic behavior and eliminate them from Sony MMOs.

At the moment, SOE is working on the PlayStation 4 version of Planetside 2, which is set to be launched when the next-gen console is available in November.
