The much promoted Ryse: Son of Rome video game might get a live action series exclusively on the Xbox One home console at some point in 2014.

A leaked image that was captured by Polygon suggests that Microsoft and developer Crytek might be working on a set of episodes that are designed to expand on the world of the game and catch the attention of a wider audience.

It seems that the Ryse: Son of Rome series will be rated Mature because it includes violence, gore and nudity, which suggests that the two companies are hoping to replicate the success that HBO’s Rome and Starz’s Spartacus have had in portraying the period.

Microsoft has not commented on the leaked image.

Ryse: Son of Rome is one of the launch titles for the Xbox One, which will be offered on November 22 in 13 core territories, and next year in the rest of the world.
