A report that’s citing anonymous inside sources says that the studio that BioWare maintained in San Francisco is closing down, with all employees fired.

The information came to GamesRadar from employees of the company, who suggested that between 25 and 30 people are now out of work.

The BioWare team in San Francisco had been, apparently, linked to a number of mobile projects, but the costs associated with the location were too high.

Publisher and parent company Electronic Arts is not yet offering any official comment on the rumors.

At the moment BioWare’s main project, now that DLC for Mass Effect 3 will no longer be launched, is Dragon Age III: Inquisition. The action and role-playing game is expected to launch during the fall of this year and will use the Frostbite 2 engine.
