The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 might be just a few months away from launch, but the team at Rockstar is simply too busy working with Grand Theft Auto V at the moment to think about how it might use their upgraded hardware power.

Dan Houser, a leader of the studio, is quoted by VG247 as saying that, “We get pitched by the hardware manufacturers on what they’re planning to do and our tech guys come up with ideas on how that could be used. Does this influence design decisions? Of course.”

The development team is not working on a new GTA title at the moment and does not actually know what kind of game they plan to create next and that means they are free to put all their resources into expanding the world of Los Santos.

On October 1, the game will get access to the new GTA Online mode, which creates a persistent online world that up to 16 players can inhabit and modify to their liking.
