The development team at Rockstar has been creating ideas for the soon to be released GTA Online since the entire series made the switch to 3D.

Leslie Benzies, who leads the North studio that is working on the online mechanics, says that his team always wanted to have multiple human players involved in order to make the entire game world more interesting.

He states, “We wanted a world where people could spend years without getting bored of playing the same content over and over.”

GTA Online will be launched on October 1 and will be only available to those who have bought GTA V.

Gamers will be able to customize a character and then engage in more than 500 missions while interacting with other human players in their crew and exploring a game world that they can affect through their actions.
