14 DAY TRIAL // Publisher Deep Silver released more screenshots from the upcoming action role-playing game from developer Piranha Bytes, Risen 3: Titan Lords, showing the Demon Hunter class doing what it does best, dish out pain and suffering to the wicked.
Demon Hunters are one of the three dynamic factions that inhabit Risen 3's medieval world, to which players can pledge their allegiance at the beginning of their adventure. The chosen allegiance will influence the quests, skills, armor and pretty much everything that gamers will experience while playing the game.
The Demon Hunters are revealed to be a collection of dark knights, bound to an ancient pact, and fitted with the best equipment, weapons and armor, that man can make. In the open-world game, the Demon Hunters faction wants to restore the Bay of Iron and its massive citadel to their former glory.
Although the first Risen was considered to be pretty good, the pirate-themed Risen 2: Dark Waters was met with a pretty cold shoulder by gamers and critics alike. The next installment in the series seeks to restore its fame, by getting back to its medieval fantasy roots, reintroducing magic and revamping the combat system.
Risen 3: Titan Lords is coming out on August 12 in North America and August 15 in Europe, for the Windows PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms, aiming, alongside Sacred 3, which comes out on August 1, to fill the late summer gap between big releases.
