Developer Tecmo Koei and publisher Namco Bandai have announced that the new character for the upcoming Dead or Alive 5 will be Rig, a Canadian fighter who is well versed in a number of Tae Kwon Do styles.

The voice for Rig will be provided by Hiroki Touch.

The two companies have also officially announced that Bass Armstrong will return to the game.

Both pieces of information were already known to the community after intrepid fans data mined the demo of Dead or Alive 5 for clues about the full version.

Tecmo Koei also offered more information on the Photo Mode, which has been improved and allows gamers to get better shots of the characters.

The developer also unveiled a new Replay Mode, which allows players to zoom in and change viewing angle and can even be used when only Artificial Intelligence characters are being involved in the fight.

Dead or Alive 5 is expected on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 in late September.
