The Regional Court of Berlin, Germany, has once again offered a favorable verdict for Valve, the owner of the Steam digital distribution service, saying that the company can't be forced to allow the reselling of games bought on Steam, despite European legislation allowing such a thing.

Ownership of digital games has been a hot topic in Germany, as consumer group Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband has taken Valve to court because it doesn't allow Steam users to resell licenses to their games to others, as allowed by the EU legislation.

Now, for the second time, a German court has sided with Valve, according to OsborneClarke, which confirmed that the verdict had been published in Berlin, although a reasoning has yet to be made public.

As such, Valve can continue to forbid the reselling of games or even Steam accounts. An appeal can still be filed, though, by the Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband.
