As a quick reminder for all the legions of Battlefield fans, Electronic Arts, its publisher, and DICE, its developer, will kick off the Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta stage later today for all those interested in trying it out before it's released on October 25.

Battlefield 3 is definitely anticipated by many shooter enthusiasts, even Call of Duty fans who are interested to see if it's going to match up to the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 from Activision.

Now, in order to properly highlight Battlefield 3, the multiplayer beta stage for the game is going to start later today across all its platforms, including the PC, via EA's Origin digital distribution service, PlayStation 3, via the PlayStation Store, and Xbox 360, via the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Select gamers, including those who pre-ordered the game on PC or who bought the Medal of Honor Tier 1 edition, were accepted into the beta two days ago. Today, however, everyone can download the beta client and engage in the multiplayer mode of new shooter.
