Remedy Entertainment, the Finnish developer behind the Alan Wake series, would love to create a sequel in the form of Alan Wake 2, but it wants to wait until the time is right and the best ideas appear.

Remedy Entertainment impressed millions of gamers back in the early 2000s with Max Payne 1 and 2, and then delivered Alan Wake on the Xbox 360 and then on PC in recent years.

While it's currently working on Quantum Break for Xbox One, the studio is still thinking about the Alan Wake series and would love to return to it.

"We love Wake and we are constantly looking for opportunities and talking about possibilities of what we could do with Wake," Remedy's Sam Lake told Polygon.

"I would definitely love to do more Wake, but it needs to be something we absolutely feel is the right thing for Wake, and the bar is high enough, and this is really going to be cool, not just doing it at the cost of making something that's not as top notch as it should be, so time will tell."

As of yet, the studio is focusing just on Quantum Break for Xbox One.
