Razer, one of the biggest peripheral makers in the video game industry, has announced that two Blade gaming prototypes have been stolen from the Research & Development division of the company on November 4 and urged everyone to report if they end up on the black market.

Min-Liang Tan, who is one of the co-founders of Razer, has offered an official statement, saying, “As you can imagine, the return of these prototype units is very important to the company. We have already reported this to the authorities who are working closely with us on this matter.”

He added, “We take this act of theft seriously and would like to appeal for its return and discourage anyone from buying the Razer Blade prototypes from the perpetrators, whether online or otherwise, as they are stolen property.”

The Blade is an ultra thin gaming laptop which will allow gamers to play the latest releases on very powerful hardware for a price of about 2,800 dollars (a little over 2,000 Euro).
