Rambo: The Video Game has received an official release date from publisher Reef Entertainment, arriving on February 21.

Developed by Polish game makers Teyon, the action title seeks to play off many gamers' nostalgia when it comes to one of the most famous over-the-top action blockbusters of the '80s, and to give players the chance to play out the childhood dream of reliving the events in the movies for themselves.

The release date was stated on Rambo: The Video Game's website for the European launch of the action game only, and for now North America still has a Q1 2014 launch window, as nothing of the sort has yet been mentioned.

"We are delighted to announce the final EU release date for Rambo: The Video Game and although the main game is now complete, our journey with Rambo continues as we will soon start development on the game's first DLC expansion pack with our partners at Teyon," Reef Entertainment stated.

Rambo: The Video Game will be launched in UK, for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, on February 21.
