Rain World has successfully passed through Valve's community lens only a couple of days ago, the game being part of the latest batch of Greenlit titles.

The charming platformer also started its crowdfunding campaign at around the same time, managing to meet its goal in just a couple of days.

Set in a post-apocalyptic alien world, within the ruins of an ancient civilization, the game has players assist a lonely slugcat in its struggle for survival, in order to hunt for food and avoid becoming someone else's meal.

Following the unexpected success, the team has set new goals for the Kickstarter campaign. In order to celebrate both the successful Greenlight effort and the ongoing prosperous crowdfunding campaign, the creators have also released a new alpha gameplay video.

The new video follows the hijinks of the adorable slugcat, showing players the kind of gameplay they can expect from the game, complete with an untimely death that highlights the perilous nature of life in Rain World's harsh ecosystem.
