A brand-new report has appeared online claiming that Quantum Break, one of the biggest Xbox One exclusive titles of the year, has been delayed, and that it's now set to appear on the Microsoft console in early 2016.

Quantum Break was revealed to the world alongside the Xbox One back in 2013 as a novel cross-media experience, as Max Payne and Alan Wake developer Remedy Entertainment is working on both a game and a TV show that will deliver a shared world.

The title got a gameplay demonstration back at Gamescom last year and was apparently set to a fall 2015 launch.

However, the Dutch Community and Social Media Coordinator for Microsoft confirms on Twitter that Quantum Break has been delayed and it's now set to debut in early 2016 for the Xbox One platform.

No explanation was given, and right now there's no official word from Remedy Entertainment about the fate of its upcoming project.

Given its ambitious goal of delivering not just a game but also a TV show with real-life actors, it's possible that Quantum Break needs a bit more time to flesh out the whole experience and ensure that people will be hooked on not just playing but also watching the actual title.
