Hearthstone is usually seen as a very competitive game, where highly driven gamers create cookie cutter decks and then fight for eternal glory.

However, some players choose to enjoy Blizzard Entertainment's collectible card game in an entirely different manner.

The game has a ton of cards with interesting mechanics that don't lend themselves well to competitive play but have the potential for fun situations and enable pointless challenges like the one some french players are currently doing.

Twitch user Mamytwink is currently trying to set the world record for longest Hearthstone turn, with an estimated time of delivery of around 43 hours.

The estimation is based on math, the language of the Hearhstone gods, and features some crazy calculations that greatly exceed the customary health pools heroes use.

The play at hand is one that cannot occur while regularly enjoying the game, but instead requires a good deal of planning to pull off.

Prophet Velen is usually the kind of legendary card that makes you break your keyboard out of frustration that you didn't get Dr. Boom or Ragnaros, but for some it's the prime source of entertainment in Hearhstone.

You can see some other situations where Prophet Velen fuels various shenanigans due to his unique special power, that doubles any healing or damage inflicted by spells and abilities.
