The development team at Obsidian reveals the first footage for their upcoming Project Eternity, created using the current version of the game engine, complete with dynamic water, movement through the game world, and complex lighting.

Josh Sawyer, the project director working on the game, says, “The Infinity Engine games were known for their art, and we wanted to hit the high standard of visual quality established by games like the Icewind Dale series.”

The Project Eternity in-game footage shows off the same area that was introduced in the first high-resolution screenshot from Obsidian.

The team will continue to work on various elements of the engine in order to improve overall graphics quality.

Obsidian also welcomes all feedback linked to Project Eternity and promises more information about the game soon, linked to the second prototype for the party-based role-playing title.
