The governor of the state of Rhode Island says that Project Copernisuc, the MMO that 38 Studios wanted to create in the Kingdoms of Amalur universe, has no value at the moment and is unlikely to be revived by another studio.

Lincoln Chafee is quoted by GamePolitics as explaining that the game failed to sell at a recent auction because it is not simply fun to play in its current state, despite being nearly finished in terms of gameplay and story.

The governor is involved in the evaluation of a video game because his state lend a lot of money to 38 Studios and ended up owning many elements of the company once it went bankrupt.

Project Copernicus was supposed to allow players to create a character and then customize him as he explored a game universe where life and death were intertwined, with combat taking place using action driven mechanics.
