The development team at Konami working on Pro Evolution Soccer is delivering the first trailer for the 2015 installment of the football simulation and promises the fan community that it is designed from the ground up to bring the series back to its roots.

At the moment, the company is unwilling to talk about the core gameplay changes that it is implementing, but promises that details will soon be offered to all those who are interested.

The only text accompanying the trailer states, "PES 2015 sees a true return to core PES values of total control, super responsive controls and renowned gameplay, where the user has unrestricted control over how they play."

Presumably, the game is again using the Fox Engine, which is also used to power Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain from Kojima Productions.

Launch will probably take place at some point in the fall of this year on the PC, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and current-gen devices.

Pro Evolution Soccer has been recently losing its long-term battle with the rival FIFA series from EA Sports and it will be interesting to see what ideas Konami plans to implement now in order to reverse its fortunes.
