Video game developer BioWare has announced that it has now launched the third phase of the Pre-Launch Guild Program for its MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic.

This basically means that a number of guilds, created by players, will be transferred to the game for launch day as long as they met a set of criteria.

Four members of the created guild need to have pre-ordered The Old Republic and need to have redeemed the code that they have received.

BioWare has said that it plans for The Old Republic to be a highly social game, where players are encouraged to work together to achieve tasks not just because of the rewards they can get but also because they can craft a story which becomes tailored to a particular group through shared choices.

Star Wars: The Old Republic will be launched all over the world on December 20 of this year.
