Popup Dungeon, the roguelike dungeon crawler that promises to allow players complete freedom in designing their own characters, spells, enemies, items and whatever else they can think of has a nifty video prepared to show gamers just how they will be able to achieve their goal.

Popup dungeon is currently in development over at indie studio Triple.B.Titles, and it's currently undergoing a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

Should it turn out successful, it will allow the team to make the papercraft-like virtual boardgame they always dreamed of and share it with the world.

The video illustrates how players can create stuff in-game, showing they can select from hundreds of pre-set images, effects, modifiers, each one with its own threshold that allows creative individuals to customize their dungeon crawling experience.

From direct damage or damage over time, activation costs and additional conditions, as well as negative effects can then boost an ability's damage at the expense of the caster.

And the best thing is that players won't have to worry about stuff like gameplay balance or AI routines, as the developer team promises to have everything number- and behavior-related covered, and players just have to concern themselves with exciting ideas.

The game is built with Unity for Linux, Mac and PC and seems to be well on its way to reaching its Kickstarter goal.
