14 DAY TRIAL // Brian Lindley, a producer working on Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare, says that the upcoming game reminds him of the Star Wars Battlefront titles because they both offer a variety of experiences linked to the very different classes.
He is quoted on the Major Nelson blog as saying that, “We’ve taken inspiration from a lot of different games, including Team Fortress 2, but I think it is difficult to compare Garden Warfare to one specific game. That said, as a 3rd person shooter with a variety of different classes, Garden Warfare sometimes reminds me of the Star Wars Battlefront games.”
Garden Warfare is designed to use colorful graphics and the classic style of the Plants vs. Zombies universe and mix them with traditional shooter mechanics, with an emphasis on teamwork.
Teams at developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are currently working on a new Star Wars Battlefront title that will use Frostbite 3.
