Nintendo released a new gameplay trailer from the upcoming Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games, offering us a glimpse of Mega Rayquaza.

The Legendary Pokemon will appear during the course of your adventures in Hoenn, alongside the two other Legendary Pokemon pictured on the game's box art, Kyogre and Groudon.

Rayquaza is a dragon and flying type Pokemon that is able to block moves such as Rain Dance, Sandstorm and Hail, which, of course, comes in handy when you're fighting other critters.

Nintendo said in the past that Rayquaza is somehow connected to the mysteries of Mega Evolution, and the new trailer shows this, letting players know what they can expect while playing.

"The Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza is said to achieve Mega Evolution in a remarkable way – unlike that of other Pokemon – due to its unique biology. What is this unique method? And what is the mystery of Mega Evolution? All will become clear in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire," the post accompanying the trailer informed.

Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire are headed to the Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming console, scheduled to come out on November 21 in Japan, North America and Australasia, and on November 28 in Europe.
