Nintendo has confirmed that it's bringing back two classic Pokemon titles to the 3DS handheld console this November, in the form of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

The Pokemon series continues to sell really well on the 3DS platform and, after the cult status of the Twitch Plays Pokemon experiment, which saw Twitch viewers play older versions of Pokemon games, Nintendo is seemingly keen on exploiting the nostalgia of veteran fans.

As such, it's just confirmed that Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire are making a comeback this November for the 3DS, in the form of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.

"Pokémon fans first enjoyed Pokémon Ruby Version and Pokémon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Now, a whole new generation of Pokémon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire," the company said on its website.

A special video was also revealed, which you can admire below, teasing the remastered adventure but also a potential new world, so it's unclear just how much new content is included in the new titles.

Expect Nintendo to share plenty of details at the upcoming E3 2014 event, where it will host a special Nintendo Direct video conference.
