Sony announces that it plans to take the PlayStation Network down for maintenance on November 7, starting with 8 AM Pacific Time and ending at 3 PM PT, which is a seven-hour period.

The team states in an official forum announcement that, “If you’ve signed onto PSN over the past few days, you’ll still be able to play online and access apps during this period, but you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management as these services will be unavailable.”

All those who are interested in using the PSN in the maintenance period should log in as soon as possible in order to have their identity kept online.

Sony is not offering any information on what changes are being made to the service.

The PlayStation 4 will be out on November 15 in the US and two weeks later in Europe.
