Josh Mosqueira, the new game director of Diablo III, says that the PlayStation 4 and 3 versions of the game will retain the essence that made it so successful on the PC, while also introducing features specifically designed for home consoles.

In a post on Battle.net, the developer says, "It was important to me that we retain that essential core that is Diablo—every player who has ever roamed the shadowy halls of Sanctuary's dungeons, hunting vile demons and looting their corpses."

Mosqueira goes on to praise the team working on Diablo III at Blizzard by saying that they never settle for a good experience and are always aiming to improve the feel of the game while listening to community feedback.

Diablo III will be out on PlayStation-branded consoles before the end of the year.
