Hiroshi Kawano, the president of the Sony division in charge of Japan and Asia, says that the successful Western launch of the PlayStation 4 is making the new home console more attractive for Japanese developers.

According to DualShockers, the executive explains that the hardware power of the new platform and its abilities to stream content to the PlayStation Vita are its most interesting elements.

Kawano says that more and more developers are approaching the company and asking about the possibility of launching a title on the PlayStation 4.

The device will be offered on the Japanese market on February 22.

It has already managed to sell more than 5.3 million units to gamers on Western markets before February 8.

The launch might be marked by limited supply, so all those who want to own a PlayStation 4 should move as fast as possible to buy one.
