The team at Sony in charge of the PlayStation 4 home console has launched yet another teaser video for the big reveal that it is planning for Gamescom, this time specifically mentioning that its new video game is using classic horror mechanics.

The footage does not offer any clear information about the game but once again suggests that players will get access to a subtle experience that aims to deliver psychological terror rather than use jump scares to simply frighten the player for short periods of time.

The prevailing theory about the teasers is that Sony will reveal a new redesigned take on a game called Until Dawn, which is being developed by Supermassive Games and has received a renewed trademark in both the United States and in Europe earlier in the year.

Of course, there's also the possibility that an entirely new intellectual property is being created at the company and that it simply happens to share a genre with the previously announced game.

The PlayStation 4 has managed to perform very well since it launched in November 2013 and Sony is concerned at the moment about the variety of experiences that exist for it and a horror themed title will certainly appeal to a new set of gamers.
