The team at Sony working on the launch of the PlayStation 4 is delivering details on how the upgrade process for a variety of games will work for the next-gen console.

The team states in a blog post that Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4 are the games that it will support.

Sony states, "When you buy the Blu-ray Disc or digital version of these select PS3 games, for a limited time, you will receive an entitlement to download a PS4 digital copy of the same game from PlayStation Store when it becomes available, at the discounted price of $9.99."

A code will be used to make the upgrade via the PlayStation Store.

The PlayStation 4 upgrade program will be available only for game purchases made before January 31, 2014, for Assassin’s Creed IV and Watch Dogs, March 28 for Battlefield 4 and March 31 for Call of Duty: Ghosts.

The PlayStation 4 will be out on November 15 in the United States and two weeks later in Europe.
