Video game hardware maker Sony says that it is now looking into the newly reported CE-34878-0 error for the PlayStation 4 and hopes to have a clear image about the situation very soon.

The problem was first reported on the official forums for the new home console and many players were frustrated that the company had no clear reason for it.

Sony now tells Eurogamer that, “We are aware of the cases and we appreciate your patience while we investigate.”

CE-34878-0 is affecting saved games mainly, for titles including but not limited to Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, FIFA 14, NBA 2K14 and Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag.

At the same time, some users are reporting that they are unable to use their PlayStation 4 and want them to be replaced by Sony.

The company has pledged that it will replace all devices that are affected by problems linked to shipping or to manufacturing.
