Following the trend of formerly PC-exclusive titles making their way to the next-gen consoles, PlanetSide 2 is also planning a big move to Sony's PlayStation 4 home entertainment system.

In an interview with GameZone, PlanetSide 2 creative director Matt Higby states that “the PS4 version will be nearly identical to the PC version, with the exception of the User Interface.”

He adds that “if you turned up your PC version to Ultra, that's how it's going to look on PS4,” addressing queries regarding the graphical comparison between the two platforms.

It seems likely that the recently released PlayStation 4 will outshine average PC gaming rigs in the graphics and performance departments, but many battles still lie ahead for those who would like to get a definitive verdict.

PlanetSide 2's PlayStation 4 port will also include some system-specific features, such as the integration of the DualShock 4 touchpad in the User Interface, making menu navigation seem more seamless, like on the PC version.

The game is also planned to support remote play since day one, so PlayStation Vita owners will be able to stream gameplay footage directly to their handheld devices, thus freeing their TVs for other uses.
